IETs in Jails Design Camp Information Session - 9/18/24

In honor of Adult Education and Family Literacy Week 2024, both the Department and the Integrated Education and Training in Corrections (IETC) project team are pleased to announce the next IET in Corrections Design Camp professional development opportunity. The IETC project, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education, has hosted design camps to help States and local programs plan, develop, implement, and evaluate IET programs in corrections.

This fall, the IETC project will offer an additional opportunity for adult education providers who deliver services in jails to participate in an IETC Design Camp. States and local teams will receive technical assistance from subject-matter-experts and participate in evidence-based professional development activities via the following:

  • an IETC pre-design camp virtual academy in October and November 2024,
  • an in-person IETC design camp in February 2025 (travel expenses covered by the project), as well as
  • IETC post-design camp activities.

To learn more about this upcoming technical assistance and professional development opportunity, register now to join the IET in Corrections project team on September 18, 2024, from 3:00-4:00PM (ET).

To learn more about the IETC project, visit the Integrated Education and Training in Corrections (IETC) page on LINCS.
