Leveraging IET Resources for Growth!

Today, in recognition of National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, the U.S. Department of Education invites you to join us in a friendly discussion about how you are leveraging some of the resources shared in the Integrated Education and Training Basic Design Camp (BDC). Whether you're new to or experienced with using these resources, we want to hear about your progress and challenges. Let's celebrate and support each other's growth! If you didn't attend a BDC, don't worry - you're still invited to join in the conversation and share your unique insights. Please take some time to review these helpful materials, especially if you didn’t attend a BDC.

  • IET Design Toolkit - This resource takes you through four iterative phases of an IET process: Research and Assess, Design and Plan, Develop and Implement, and Evaluate and Improve.
  • IET Readiness Assessment (p.7 of the IET Design Toolkit) - This tool allows you to review your IET program's development, implementation, and sustainability efforts. It also helps you discover relevant sections in the IET Toolkit to enhance your initiatives.
  • Train-the-Trainer Resources - These resources include an IET Design Camp Training Guide, customizable facilitator guides, and presentations for you to conduct an IET Design Camp.
  • IET Quality Indicators - These 24 indicators support IET program development and continuous improvement.

Please share your experiences. How are you using these resources?? What 1-2 ideas do you have for applying them at the state or local level for professional development or for continuous program improvement?

As you post, please remember to follow the LINCS Code of Conduct

Happy #AEFLWeek!
