Student Recruitment and Outreach
Description: Student recruitment and outreach play an important role in informing potential adult learners about the supports adult education programs can provide them. However, programs have found that their pre-pandemic approach has to be adjusted based on the realities of the pandemic. Carol Clymer, co-director of Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy will provide insight into at what the research suggests about student recruitment and outreach during the pandemic. Participants will also hear from a panel that will discuss strategies for student recruitment that they have used successfully at the state or local level.
