OCTAE Announces 2021 Integrated Education and Training Design Camps
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) is pleased to announce that it will sponsor two Integrated Education and Training (IET) Design Camps in 2021. These Design Camp trainings will be provided virtually as part of the Enhancing IET Opportunities for Adults technical assistance project. The Design Camps are intended to increase the capacity of states and local programs to design and deliver quality IET programs for adult learners across the country. Interested states should plan to convene a team of up to six participants consisting of one to two state representatives and two local programs, each represented by two people. Local participants will build their IET design and development skills and knowledge, while state representatives will lay the groundwork to further expand IET programs in their states.
The Spring IET Design Camp will take place over nine sessions between April 6 and June 3, 2021. The Fall IET Design Camp will take place over nine sessions between September 21 and November 18, 2021.
On Monday, February 15, State Directors of Adult Education will receive detailed Design Camp information and registration materials from IMPAQ International. While registration for this training is voluntary, we encourage all states to participate.
